`M´ is the title of a series of acrylic paintings on wooden boxes. At first glance surfaces of a monochrome color are contrasted by wide lines of a different color. They conjure up an abstract sign language and seem to resemble single letters or simple monograms. On a closer look, however, you realize that the surface consists of many painted layers with traces of diverse structures and figures, which appear like a relief. The different multilayered color fields create a stimulating interaction, which evoke associations without fully revealing them.
